Camp Info And Itinerary

We are gladly hosting our wedding at one of our favorite camp sites! This means that in addition to the auditorium where we’ll be having our ceremony, we’ll have access to a kitchen, dining hall, amphitheater, and bunks for you to stay and sleep in! The bunks all have running water and electricity, including restrooms and showers. If bunks are not your speed, we are only 30 minutes away from beautiful Osage Beach and their many hotel accommodations.

Below will be listed our itinerary and brief descriptions for what we have planned that weekend.

Friday September 25th

12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. – Site walkthrough and initial set up. DO NOT ARRIVE DURING THIS PERIOD UNLESS SPECIFIALLY ASKED TO

2:00 – Guests may start arriving. If you want to choose and set up a bunk, this would be a great time to arrive. Otherwise, this would be a great time to come hang out and spend some time by the lake.

5:00 p.m. – Rehearsal dinner (Location TBD)

9:00 p.m. – Remembrance ceremony. This will be a ceremony to remember and share stories of those who could not join us on this new part of our lives. Though the tone might seem somber, this is a ceremony that is meant to share and celebrate the lives of the ones we love, and we want to remember the good times through laughter and tears. This ceremony means a lot to us and all are welcome, even just to listen.

The rest of Friday night will be spent sharing stories and enjoying company.

Saturday September 26th

Morning- Catering will arrive and begin prep for the reception dinner. DO NOT ENTER THE KITCHEN WHILE CATERING IS ON SITE. We will make arrangements for food and fridge access while catering is working.

11:00 a.m. – Wedding party will meet at the auditorium for instructions and final set up for ceremony.

2:30 p.m. – Seating will begin at the auditorium.

3:00 p.m. – Ceremony

4:00 p.m. – Pictures

5:00 p.m. – Dining hall and bar will open. Speeches and toasts.

6:00 p.m. – Reception dinner. If you did not receive a dinner invite, we have only paid for 50 guests and we have hit that limit. If you did not receive an invite but wish to eat with us, feel free to bring food on site and join us. Special arrangements can be made to add people to the dinner in excess of the initial 50 guests, but arrangements must be made ahead of September 1st and monetary contributions may be requested.

7:30 p.m. – First Dance at the auditorium.

8:00 p.m. – Murder Mystery. If you wish to participate, we will be having fun in our formal wear by hosting a murder mystery. Character cards and information will be handed out following the dancing at the auditorium. This will be the last scheduled event for the night.

Sunday

12:00 p.m. Clean up. The last and possibly biggest gift you could give is helping us clean up the site. We love this camp site and we love the positive relationship we have with the park rangers. The best way to show that is by leaving this site in better shape than we found it.
